Celebrating 100 years of the Theatre and Performance collection, this year's Performance Festival will explore the theme 'remastered'. From making anew, to remixing the past and inspiring the future, join us for special events across the museum.
Bhuchar Boulevard is curating two special events in the festival on 28th April as part of our Retracing our Footsteps initiative, advocating for a dedicated British South Asian Theatre Archive. The events are a panel talk on East is East: Creative, Impact and Legacy at 1.30pm -2.30pm, followed by the 40th performance of Bhuchar Boulevard’s solo show Evening Conversations 3pm to 4pm. Excerpts from Tamasha’s inaugural production of East is East in 1996 will be shown as a special treat and the panellists include its director and Tamasha co-founder Kristine Landon-Smith, designer Sue Mayes and original cast member Paul Bazely.
